Wendy works as an assistant to Priscilla Hall, a successful interior designer. Priscilla pushes Wendy hard and takes advantage of her for all sorts of petty errands. One day Wendy gets stuck in an unreliable elevator with a handsome guy and in the heat of the moment they exchange a kiss. When the elevator comes down, they quickly separate and Wendy doesn't get to know who he was. The next day, however, he shows up and it turns out that he is Adam who is Prescilla's boyfriend. He doesn't recognize Wendy since yesterday. On top of this, Prescilla uses Wendy to decorate Adam's apartment for a Christmas gala to be held where Prescilla hopes Adam will propose. However, Adam can't quite let go of the thought of that girl he met in the elevator.
It survives mainly on the fact that the bad person is allowed to continue to be bad and doesn't get sugary at the end like in so many other movies. But Adam must be both blind as well as stupid. And Brendan Fehr makes the impression even worse.
