Holly has a tough life where she tries to work her way through temporary jobs and cope with life as a single mother. One day she buys a lottery ticket which she puts in the glove compartment of the car. However, the car is stolen before she finds out that her ticket won the top prize, one million dollars. She calls for the car and the lottery on TV. Mike, unknowingly involved in the car theft, tries to come up with a good way to return the lottery ticket to Holly. In the process, however, he falls for Holly as well.
