Dylan is one of the school's popular girls and totally focused on winning the Blossom Queen Crown at school. Josh is in the school's geek gang and he wants to win a documentary film competition. Josh comes up with an idea to make the documentary about Dylan's fight for the crown and Dylan realizes that it would be good publicity for her.
Perhaps more falls into the Highschool movie genre rather than romantic movie. All about surface isn't everything. Maybe OK if you take it for what it is.
