Lucy is tasked with writing a new script for the old classic film "His Merry Wife," originally filmed in 1947. However, her client is not satisfied with the ending she has written, so she is sent to Biltmore House where the first film was shot. Reluctantly, she goes there and not only sees the environment but also the items used during the filming. When she accidentally turns over an hourglass used in the film, she suddenly finds herself back in 1947, amidst the actual production with all the actors, including Jack, who plays the angel in the film.
Not as bad as I feared. It holds up as a romantic tale, if taken just as that. SPOILER ALERT: I always wonder how things will turn out for someone suddenly transported 70 years into the future, without any identification documents, knowledge of recent events, etc., but the story doesn't reveal that
