Hardin’s girlfriend Tess has broken up with him after realizing that his debut novel was based on their relationship. Now Hardin is under pressure to deliver a new novel while also feeling depressed because he misses Tess. To get some distance, he travels to Portugal where he also seeks out Natalie, whom he treated poorly in the past, in an attempt to apologize. Hardin struggles with his emotions but also gains some new perspectives. Will he finally find the right path in his life?
It is a good movie even though it contains elements that I generally have a hard time with, like Hardin's rough and brooding attitude. But as a romantic drama, it holds up.
