For Love & Honey

Plot

The archaeologist Austin is on Malta to follow up on the roots of the Jesuit order that established itself in Michigan in the 17th century. He has a chance to receive additional funding to stay and conduct research there if he can make a breakthrough in his studies. The library where he is studying is haunted by bees, and Eva, a beekeeper and bee expert, is called in to find out where they are coming from. She locates the hive, and as she carefully handles the colony, she uncovers an ancient fresco that could be significant for Austin's research. The mayor grants Austin permission to continue the study, provided it is done under Eva's supervision, as she is trusted on the island.

Short review

Some things, like only needing to lift a few stones to find archaeological discoveries that have been hidden for hundreds of years in a frequently visited place, might not seem very realistic, but as a romantic movie, it still works.
