Monica works hard at the hospital but still misses out on the new position she had hoped for. Her mother then convinces her to, for once, take a vacation and go on a pilgrimage in Spain—just like her mother and father once did. Upon arriving in Spain, she joins a small group of fellow pilgrims consisting of their guide, Luis, and his father and his son. Monica struggles to slow down and to accept help when she needs it. However, during the pilgrimage, the group helps her get used to both taking things at a slower pace and accepting support—especially from Matt.
It’s a fairly decent romantic film. The religious message might be a bit much for me, but as a romance, it works.
