Harrington is the author of a highly popular book series, with the next installment soon to be published. However, when he posts a message on social media criticizing Christmas, his fans revolt. April works at the publishing house that releases Harrington's books and is now tasked with fixing the situation. She persuades him to return to his hometown—where he first began writing—to generate some positive publicity. He reluctantly agrees. April must now work to draw him out of the reclusive life he’s built since losing his parents and falling out of love with Christmas.
I had expected a much grumpier Harrington, but this is going surprisingly smoothly. However, the film is saved by the seasoned Paul Campbell and a positive Lyndie Greenwood, and still ends up with a four.
