The elf Clementine is tasked by Santa Claus to travel into the USA to save an inn, which serves as the energy source for Santa's Christmas Eve journey. The inn has been inherited by Mackenzie after her aunt, and Mackenzie is determined to sell it. She used to spend her childhood Christmases there and visits one last time. Now, it becomes Clementine's mission to try to convince Mackenzie to keep the inn as it is to save Christmas. Another person who also doesn't want the inn to be destroyed is Ian, who soon gets involved in renovating the place, as Mackenzie desires before selling, but the others hope it will be revitalized instead.
A Christmas tale (the movie is called "A Fairytale Christmas" in Swedish) with a romantic theme. It holds up as just that, even though there might be more emphasis on the Christmas story rather than the romance.
