Luke has lost his touch and loses his job as a manager. However, he might be able to keep the contract with his first and most famous artist if he can secure the rights to a song they find on one of his many demo tapes. The song was written by Melody, who has now given up her music dreams and lives with her daughter, working at her father's restaurant. However, she doesn't want to relinquish the rights to her song, and Luke is faced with a challenge to save his career while also giving him reason to ponder over who he is.
This is a good movie even though one is always skeptical that a self-absorbed jerk can transform into a considerate and pleasant person in such a short time.
