Mary is bored with her job of reporting trivial news. Also, when she thinks her boyfriend is going to propose, he breaks up with her instead as he thinks their relationship is too routine and boring. On the way home, she makes eye contact with a man on the tram and when he gets off, he forgets his phone on the seat. Mary takes care of it and when she looks for him to return it, she realizes that he lives an eventful life. She gets the idea to write an article about him. When he is going away, she gets permission to use his contact information on the phone to get material for the article. In her research, she realizes that James, as the stranger is called, is a man to fall in love with.
A good romantic film with the different twist that Mary gets to know James through his friends and family and not by meeting him. It makes a good romantic story.
