Courtney runs her family's restaurant even though she has her sights set on a chef career in New York. The restaurant is running a little rough and she has to more or less manage it herself. To help her, she has her father's "Rule Book of Love". She hears about a restaurant competition that, if she can win, might be able to save the restaurant. Jake appears, a former baseball star who changed career and trained as a pastry chef. He offers to help to get his own bakery plan off the ground.
