Love Marks the Spot

Rating:

Plot

Becca risks losing her job as an editor if the publishing company is sold to a larger competitor. Their only chance is to find the mythical final book in a series to which the company holds the rights. Meanwhile, movie star Lee is trying to restart his career and wants to produce film adaptations of the books. But to do so, he needs approval from the series’ current rights holders, the surviving relatives of the author couple. Lee brings Becca with him to Arcania, where the rights holders live, and she sees an opportunity to find the legendary final instalment of the book series.

Short review

No, definitely not. The entire plot is weak with a number of implausible “clues.” It doesn’t help that the lead actors, especially Andrew Biernat, lack any sense of conviction. He must have been cast for his looks, because he certainly has no acting talent.
