Cameron is new at school and quickly becomes interested in Bianca — who, unfortunately for him, has her eyes set on Joey. But there’s a catch: Bianca isn’t allowed to date unless her older sister, Kat, is dating too. The problem? Kat can’t stand boys and has no intention of dating anyone.
In a complicated scheme, Cameron convinces Joey to pay another student, Patrick, to try and woo Kat. Patrick agrees to take on the challenge, though it proves to be anything but easy. As the school prom draws near, questions arise: Is Patrick really as tough as he seems? And can he break through Kat’s wall of resentment?
At times a rather tiresome patchwork of a film, but not entirely without its moments of charm and substance. In the end, it earned a three — but not more than that.
