Kennedy is a co-host for a program featuring investigative segments. Now, she has the chance to take over the show entirely on her own if she delivers a good, newsworthy report. She sees a segment promoting a resort where they claim to have spotted an extinct parrot species. She travels there to expose the scam and ends up confronting Ray, an ornithologist working to preserve the island's wildlife.
