Melissa has, under a pseudonym, written two bestselling novels and now feels the pressure to deliver the third in the series. At the same time, her boyfriend of three years breaks up with her, claiming they aren't the "power couple" he had hoped for. Melissa's mother, who is also her agent, takes her on a change of scenery to help break her writer's block. They head to an olive farm run by Ben and his sister. After a while, Melissa's mother hires Ben to provide some inspiration and structure to Melissa's writing.
The movie isn't entirely worthless, but it's brought down by Ben, whose semi-flaky style just doesn't work. The fact that he also has the second most ridiculous hairstyle on the planet, right after the mullet, doesn't help either.
