Olivia grew up working in her father's model-making business. Now that her father is about to retire, she hopes to take over the company. But suddenly, her father has brought in Simon to see if he can boost the business and perhaps even take over the firm. Olivia's father wants to evaluate whether she or Simon is better suited to take the reins. But he also expects them to prove they can work together. Perhaps not the most ideal circumstances for a successful collaboration.
Here, it's the plot itself that's the problem. The entire premise that the father wants to subject his daughter to this simply doesn't hold up. At least not in the way it's presented.
