Alison is an anonymous restaurant critic who writes under the pseudonym 'Sweetly Salted'. She receives a call from a publisher who wants to release a book by her on the condition that she reveals her identity to the public. At the same time, she leaves a scathing review for the newly opened Puerto Rican restaurant started by Seb. The review sparks strong reactions, and Alison decides to take a break from reviewing. During this break, she takes the opportunity to work as a sous chef in Seb's restaurant, giving it a second chance while learning more about the industry.
On the surface, an okay romantic movie, but it has clear flaws. It's a bit too simple and glossy. How does Alison get the position of sous chef without any qualifications whatsoever? They could have made the ending much better too.
