Mary works as a real estate developer, and now she has the chance to become a partner at the firm—if she can secure a specific deal. However, that deal requires her to return to her hometown. Her relationship with her family is, to say the least, strained, and she really doesn't want to go back. Believing she can close the deal in a single day, she goes anyway. But it turns out that in order to win the deal, she has to stay until Christmas. This means she'll have to confront both her father and sister—and also Carlos, who works at the local horse center. It becomes a tough reckoning with her past.
Not as lighthearted as I thought it would be, and not as bad either. Even if it might not be entirely cohesive, it's a fairly decent film, although the romance takes a bit of a backseat and doesn't come across as particularly convincing.
