Emma works hard at a toy company that heavily invests in the Christmas season, to the extent that it dominates the entire year. As Christmas approaches, she heads off to St. John in the Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. The problem is that her secretary books the wrong flight, and the plane lands in St. John, Alaska. Instead of escaping to sunny latitudes for Christmas, Emma is now forced to stay for a few days at an inn in a town that loves celebrating Christmas. The town's jack-of-all-trades and mayor, Connor, is encouraged by his sister, who runs the inn, to help Emma while she's there.
