When Melanie's ex-husband lets their son down, who was supposed to visit him over Christmas, she desperately searches for a place where she and her son can go to lift his spirits. She finds accommodation in a picturesque, old lighthouse. There, she discovers that they are expected to decorate the entire lighthouse for the city's traditional Christmas celebration—something she had not read in the fine print. The owner of the lighthouse, David, insists that they must get it done. Meanwhile, he secretly attempts to sell the lighthouse. Now, Melanie and her son are drawn into the city's Christmas festivities for better or worse, all while David ends up helping them more than expected.
The movie is good and offers some family drama. It doesn't stand out immediately, but it definitely meets the expectations.
