Tara and three women she meets on New Year’s Eve all have complicated love lives. At the stroke of midnight, they agree to form The Love Club to support one another. Ten years later, Tara decides to celebrate her freedom and independence, and calls in her friends from the club. The problem is that her mother — who’s constantly pressuring her to get married — unexpectedly shows up. Tara always lies about having boyfriends to keep her mother off her back, and this time she panics and pretends that Noah, a musician she’s hired for her club, is her partner. Things quickly spiral out of control, and suddenly her mother thinks they’re getting married.
The fourth film in a series of four (in the first season) called The Love Club. The episodes are standalone, but the later films also tie in with the earlier ones. This time, they’ve gone with a fake relationship storyline — a classic in the genre — and it works well as a romantic film.
