The book editor Harper has lost her passion for her job and asks for a month off to relax and try to regain her enthusiasm. At the same time, she happens to get an offer to work in a bookstore for the month leading up to Christmas, which seems like the perfect break from her usual work. When she arrives, she is slightly taken aback to discover that Sawyer, who runs the shop, has combined the bookstore with a wine bar. Nevertheless, she takes on the challenge and introduces some new ideas to boost book sales. Soon, she learns that Sawyer has received an offer to sell the store and harbors a dream of becoming an author.
A good romantic film without drama. Relatively speaking, it’s an easy-to-digest story, but if you’re looking for romance and feel-good vibes without drama, this is the film for you. The plot unfolds at a steady pace and offers a few small twists. The rating of 5 was perhaps given mostly because it avoids the otherwise almost mandatory misunderstanding at the end, which can sometimes become a bit tiresome.
