Tia needs a break from her job as a lawyer. She loves the sea and when her uncle asks if she can help him with some legal documents for their new dinner cruise ship, she goes to San Francisco to help instead of doing it from Seattle. When her uncle suddenly gets rid of the captain he recruited, Tia wants to use her skipper's degree and offers to be captain over the summer. There turns out to be a problem though, the chef they recruited to cook the dinners on board turns out to be Jake, Tia's ex. boyfriend.
