Josh works as a teacher at the local school, where he teaches both math and physical sports. A new teacher, Ella, starts at the school; she teaches English and music. She soon realizes that the school's music program is severely neglected, with terrible facilities. At the same time, Josh needs new funding for the school's sports program, and their needs soon come into conflict. As the school simultaneously cuts back on funding, they are both forced to seek alternative sources of financing. After some initial competition, they gradually begin to collaborate in order to achieve their respective goals together.
It may be the weakest film in Hallmark's Hearts Around the Table series (the order is embedded in the title), but I think the series should be viewed as a whole, and therefore the rating is tied to the other films. This is the third film in the series of standalone movies that are still interconnected. (Josh and Ella also appear in the subplot of the following film.)
