Shari returns home after a failed marriage to a diplomat. She is welcomed by her foster family, who remain close even though some have moved out. Shari has managed to get an apartment in an artist collective where she hopes to rekindle her artistic dreams. In the collective, Evan works as the building superintendent, and he helps Shari settle in. A connection forms between them, but Shari is very hesitant, as the ink on the divorce papers has barely dried. The foster family's Sunday dinners serve as a steady anchor in her life.
It's a good romantic movie, and perhaps it's the dynamic within the foster family and the four "siblings" who still stick together that elevates this above the average. This is the second installment in Hallmark's Hearts Around the Table series (the order is embedded in the title), which is a solid series of standalone films that are still interconnected. (Shari and Evans also appear in subplots of the subsequent films.)
