Pia is a photographer and runs a photo studio that she’s struggling to keep afloat. Now her sister is getting married, and in connection with that, their mother has brought in a fortune teller. He also reads Pia’s fortune and predicts that she will meet the love of her life within her next five dates. Her family persuades her to go on a series of dates, each more disastrous than the last. Meanwhile, it turns out that her ex, Charlie, is going to be the best man at the wedding, so she is also forced to confront him. For Pia, it becomes a struggle to get her family to accept that she wants to succeed in her career first and foremost.
A good romantic film with humor, set in an Indian-English setting. The fact that it's British is often a mark of quality in itself. It's made with a playful tone and portrays Pia as a strong woman who can stand her ground.
