Rebecca is waiting for news about a new research tenure, and in the meantime, she takes her two sons and her eldest son's girlfriend on their annual vacation, along with her mother and her sister, Cassidy. This year, they’ve decided to visit a real ranch. On the first day, Rebecca goes into town to buy herself a proper cowboy hat. There, she meets Jake, a real cowboy, who helps her pick out a hat and also joins her for a long coffee break. He’s the first man she’s felt drawn to since her husband passed away a few years ago. However, everything turns upside down when she returns to the ranch and realizes that Jake is Cassidy's new boyfriend.
Better than it might sound when you read the plot summary; it's both a bit entertaining and romantic.
