Sydney pitches the acquisition of a champagne estate in France so well that her company sends her to Paris to secure the deal. Since she has promised her best friend to take an evening off while in Paris, she does — and ends up meeting Henri, and one thing leads to another. The next morning, however, she has to rush to her meeting with the owner of the champagne estate, who is to meet the various prospective buyers. She is completely stunned when it turns out that Henri is the owner’s son. And not only that — he is also very opposed to her company as a buyer. However, his father invites all the buyers to spend a week at their vineyard to determine who will be allowed to purchase it.
A good story with warmth and humour. A cool bookshop plays a certain role — not to mention the champagne. It’s also worth noting the supporting character Roberto, who adds a fun bit of spice to the mix.
