After a difficult divorce, Frances is persuaded by her friends to go on a holiday to Tuscany — a trip they themselves are unable to take. The journey is actually a gay holiday, but Frances decides to go anyway, in need of a change of scenery. During the trip, she spots a house for sale and, on a sudden impulse, decides to buy it and move there. The house is in serious need of renovation, and she eventually hires three Polish workers to help fix it up. Along the way, she gets to know the locals, and quite a lot happens. Will she succeed in her quest to build a new life?
A very good film, which perhaps shouldn’t have been included in the collection since the happily-ever-after romance only occurs right at the very end and doesn’t get much attention. But the film is so good that I included it anyway.
