Kathy lives alone in her cold house, which has been in need of maintenance ever since her husband passed away. She runs a restaurant in the city. Freezing cold, she receives a scarf from the shopkeeper across from her restaurant. However, on her way back, she places the scarf on a snow figure in the square. The next day, she meets Jack, who claims to be the snowman brought to life. Naturally, she doesn't believe him, but soon realizes that the town sheriff is looking for him after he wears clothes taken from a local store. She takes him home and tries to keep him hidden from the police. Easier said than done when Jack has now developed a taste for life.
I simply don't buy into the idea of finding the love of your life in a snowman that comes to life, even if it's a fairy tale. The movie teeters on the edge of ridiculous but is actually quite funny in parts, so it still gets a 3 out of 6.
