The widower Jack, to his daughter Grace's frustration, has started dating a colleague, Veronika. Both of them have a chance for a promotion if they can close a real estate deal by Christmas. As the holiday approaches, Jack and Grace travel to Grace's grandparents' home in the same town where Jack has the opportunity to make the deal. It turns out the property in question is the town’s beloved café, run by Jessica, who is facing financial struggles after taking over after her mother. To top it all off, Grace believes Jessica would make a much better girlfriend for her dad.
A good romantic movie with a predictable plot (if you've seen romantic films before), but it's quite well-made and works well as a romantic film. It also has that little epilogue that so many romantic movies unfortunately lack.
