Adeline has written a book about how to best plan Christmas celebrations. Now she sets off on a book-signing tour, with her final stop at a bookstore run by Garth. Business is doing rather poorly, and Garth’s sister is desperately trying to get him to organize things better in order to boost sales.
Garth, who prefers to take things as they come, mocks Adeline for her need to plan everything. It ends with him challenging her to prove that her way works better, and since she has no other plans, she decides to stay in town to do just that. Garth promises that if he loses, he will use his fame as a former sports star to promote her book.
A romantic film about how the best approach lies in balancing planning and spontaneity. However, it doesn’t quite succeed, mainly due to a somewhat sloppy and rather formulaic execution.
