Sara goes home to her mom for Christmas. There, she discovers that her former high school boyfriend, Josh, whom she used to perform with, has also returned to town to lead a Christmas concert. Sara gave up music to study law, which led to her current career. Josh went to Nashville to pursue music. They didn't part on good terms, and unresolved conflicts linger. Reluctantly, Sara becomes involved in the work of the Christmas concert, which makes her doubt her life choices.
The movie turns out well as a romantic film even though at times it teeters on her giving up everything for his sake. However, he saves it a bit with his very last comment.
