Loryn is living a carefree life of luxury when her grandmother summons her to Chicago. She’s faced with an ultimatum: work at the family department store and learn the business, or lose her inheritance and luxurious lifestyle. She must work at the store anonymously to avoid being treated differently as the heiress to the owners. Aidan works at the store and is hoping for a promotion to assistant manager. He is tasked with making sure Loryn does a good job and learns the business—an almost impossible task, as Loryn has no intention of "working on the floor."
It's impossible to relate to Loryn's transformation from a superior luxury bimbo to an empathetic and kind colleague. It just happens without any explanation. Simply a pretty poor plot.
