When Liam forgets their anniversary, Morgan breaks up with him, feeling that he lacks commitment. As Christmas approaches, Morgan decides to go on a retreat for singles. It is organized by a woman who wants to highlight Christmas traditions and promote well-being as a single person. As the week begins, Morgan suddenly realizes that Liam has signed up for the same retreat.
I’m generally skeptical of stories where the characters break up and then get back together. Why? What has actually changed? The film overall doesn’t really land and never becomes particularly good.
