Izzy is in the middle of helping launch a new café when Grant Beiste shows up. He has a strong social media presence, which he uses to help the company he works for drive out small businesses and take over their properties. They quickly end up in a conflict that leads to Grant driving away, but in doing so, he accidentally hits Izzy’s father, who ends up in the hospital. As a result, Grant starts losing followers and needs to repair his reputation. The company he works for forces him to reach out to Izzy for help with this, in exchange for making sure her father gets back on his feet.
A misguided plot that constantly teeters on the edge. Grant's "transformation" isn't convincing, and he truly behaves like a jerk. How Izzy could ever see anything in him is completely incomprehensible.
