Willow works as a location scout for romantic films. She’s been doing it for a while and has become rather jaded about the whole thing. When she’s tasked with finding a small town for the next film project, she ends up in Mistletoe by chance. There she meets Zach, who is the town’s mayor, and whose family also runs an inn in town. Business is struggling, and the film project would mean a great deal both for the inn and for the town as a whole. However, one of the town’s leading women strongly opposes the idea and blocks the project. At the same time, the town’s annual ball is approaching. Willow has to fight to make things work — and may also have to reflect on what she herself really wants.
An interesting concept with a bit of meta thinking — a romantic film about planning a romantic film. It’s a shame it doesn’t quite hold together. It almost gets there, but not entirely. They sort of fumble it in the ending.
