Nicole and three women she meets on New Year's Eve all have troubled love lives. At the stroke of midnight, they agree to form The Love Club to support one another. Ten years later, Nicole’s boyfriend has just proposed, but she still thinks about the pen pal who never showed up for their date. Feeling uncertain after accepting the proposal, she calls in her friends from The Love Club, and they persuade her to track down the mysterious pen pal. One of the men they believe it could be works at an inn. They head there, and Nicole pretends to be the interior designer the inn has hired.
The first in a series of four films (in the first season) called The Love Club. The episodes are standalone, but the later films also tie in with the earlier ones. This instalment isn’t exactly the strongest — and while it’s not outright bad, it never quite manages to be particularly good either.
