Through her podcast, Tara promotes her beauty products, but sales are slow. What she really wants is a job as a TV presenter. Suddenly, she receives an offer to take part in a reality show where you're meant to marry someone the TV company has matched you with as your perfect partner. Tara sees this as a chance to boost her career – and perhaps even land her dream job. However, she has no intention of actually getting married. She manages to find out who the TV company has chosen for her and goes to see him to persuade him to fake the whole thing. It turns out to be Joe, whose daughter signed him up for the show – and he has no interest in taking part.
The film holds up well as a good romantic movie, even though for most of it I felt that Tara’s life goals were questionable — but even that were resolved in the end.
