Alex, who is a photographer, must come up with an idea for his magazine to get a promotion. She suggests taking up the story of the blue pearl in Fiji that the author Colin wrote about. Suddenly she is sent to Fiji together with a somewhat reluctant Colin.
A good story in which it emerges that Colin may not be so well-travelled.
