Alice is a doctor at the local hospital and a positive force behind the hospital’s Christmas celebrations. She also volunteers to work the shift over Christmas. A well-known cardiologist, Brian, also comes to the hospital to check on a patient. His sister works there and has asked him to come — she is also heavily pregnant. There are two other expectant mothers in town, and in the middle of a winter storm on Christmas Eve, the births begin one after another. Alice suddenly has her hands full, but fortunately Brian stays on at the hospital to help out.
This film balances right on the edge between a three and a four. Brendan Penny’s rather unengaged performance is somewhat offset by Rachel Boston’s enthusiasm, though, and in the end it landed on a four.
