Designer and marketer Daisy works extra shifts at her best friend’s café and also fosters and trains dogs awaiting adoption. One day, the café is visited by Jace, who once grew up in town but later became famous as one half of a TV presenting duo. He has just broken up with his girlfriend and co-host, and moved back to town. Daisy isn’t fond of how he abandoned his ideals for his career, and when he wants to adopt a dog, she says no — she doesn’t believe he’s serious. However, when a design competition comes up that Daisy wants to enter, she gets the idea that her showcase could be relaunching Jace’s career.
A good romantic film – it benefits a great deal from Daisy standing her ground in her scepticism towards Jace, rather than falling for him straight away. A solid romantic feel-good movie.
