Anna returns to Barcelona to celebrate Erica’s engagement. At the same time, she’s hoping to further establish herself as a food blogger. She crosses paths with Javier, a member of the Estrella family — famous for growing a rare and highly sought-after saffron. Anna wants to write about them, but the family has always kept a low profile and refuses to be featured. Later, while setting off on a culinary road trip, Anna’s car breaks down. She makes her way to the nearest village, which turns out to be home to the Estrella family. For various reasons, the family assumes Anna is Javier’s girlfriend — and from there, the charade begins.
This film is a follow-up to To Barcelona, With Love. Together, the two films feature two well-known faces from the world of romantic cinema: Alison Sweeney and Ashley Williams. This time, it’s Anna (played by Ashley) who finds romance. A well-made romantic film that definitely holds its own.
