Mia and her three best friends run a gift-wrapping shop. After her sister visits with her cat, Mia, being allergic to cats, goes to sleep on the shop's couch. In the evening, Beau notices the shop lights are on and knocks on the door, needing a gift wrapped. He reminds Mia of the hero from her favorite book. Later, Beau hires Mia to showcase her gift-wrapping skills at a book club hosted by his mother, where it turns out they belong to the wealthy Cavannagh family. It also becomes clear that Beau is engaged.
This is a film from the Unwrapping Christmas series, which features standalone, parallel storylines. It's quite fun to watch them together. In this one, as in the others, they've managed to create a good romantic story. Refreshingly, they avoid including a prince from an unknown European country, despite the title. I thought this was one of the better films in the series, though not quite enough to warrant a higher rating.
