Olivia and her three best friends run a gift-wrapping shop. Just before Christmas and the shop's very important event, Olivia goes out to deliver presents they’ve wrapped. When she arrives, it turns out the only person home at the address is her ex-boyfriend, Benjamin. The rest of the family is away on a skiing trip. Their reunion is awkward, and Olivia quickly tries to drop off the presents. But as she’s about to leave, a snowstorm rolls in, closing the road. Now, she’s stuck in the house with Benjamin while the storm rages on. They are forced to confront and reflect on what happened between them four years ago.
This is a movie in the Unwrapping Christmas series, which features standalone parallel storylines. It's quite fun to watch them together. In this one, the story revolves around reconnecting with an old boyfriend—a topic I'm generally quite sceptical about. If it didn’t work the first time, why would it work now? However, they've managed to create a good romantic film, so it works.
