Christine's career as a ballroom dancer ended with a failed final jump. Now, eight years later, she visits her parents before starting a new job. While she's there, she realizes that her parents' business is threatened with closure. She tries to find ways to save it, and in the process, she meets Matthew, who has recently moved to town with his daughter and works at the local bank. She learns that the local district championship in ballroom dancing has a cash prize that could save her parents' business. She decides to enter and recruits Matthew as her dance partner, despite his lack of experience.
Well, it turns out a bit mediocre, and the fantastic 'jump' that destroys her career and then becomes her ultimate triumph is as spectacular as the film. That is to say, not at all.
