Shalini was engaged to Neil as a child in India. When she finishes her studies, she’s ready to marry him — but Neil has since moved to the U.S. Meanwhile, Rob — somewhat unexpectedly — has managed to convince Nicole, the girl he fancied back in college, to join him in L.A. He becomes a talent agent and ends up working alongside Neil, who soon charms Nicole.
Then Shalini arrives from India, looking for Neil. He has no intention of marrying her, leaving her stranded and lost in Los Angeles. Rob, eager to prove himself as an agent, is given the challenge of turning an unknown into a star. He persuades Shalini to give it a shot — and she agrees, hoping that success might win Neil back.
A rather poor romantic film, full of clichés. It clearly shows its age — over 15 years old — and wasn’t particularly good even back then.
