Julia writes historical romance novels set in the medieval era, filled with princes and castles. At a book signing, she’s approached by Prince Maximilian (Max) and his sister. They want her help in finding a love match for Max, who prefers to marry for love rather than go through with the arranged marriage planned for him.
Julia is hesitant — after all, she’s a romance novelist, not a matchmaker. But Max is persistent, and she eventually agrees, on the condition that her best friend be allowed to write an article about him to help launch her journalism career. Max is unsure about the idea, but agrees to it in exchange for Julia’s help.
Yet another prince and yet another contrived storyline. There may not be anything particularly wrong with the production or the performances, but the plot is simply too weak to carry the film.
