Claire has missed an important scholarship notification for her sister — something that is crucial to her sister’s research and requires her signature. The problem is that her sister is deep in the Amazon rainforest and cannot be reached. Determined to fix her mistake, Claire travels to Brazil to save the situation. Reaching the remote location where her sister is working proves difficult, and Claire tries to hire a local guide, Danny, whom she finds through her sister’s contacts. Danny, who delivers supplies along the Amazon River, is reluctant to take on the job but soon finds himself travelling upriver with Claire.
The film benefits from actually being shot on a real river in a real jungle. As a romantic film, it delivers according to the formula and ends up as a solid story that holds together well.
